BTU Group’s venture arm, known publicly as BTU Ventures, Inc. is an organization that works hard towards synergistic projects to work with their “green” power projects, including solar and hydroelectric power. Their investments are typically located in the emerging markets of Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. The firm does also have projects located in North American and Europe. They pursue the acquisition of operating assets, and develop both greenfield and brownfield projects. They have officers located in the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Asia.
BTU Ventures is headquartered in Waltham, MA. They also have an office in Dubai, UAE. This ventures arm of BTU Group initially acquired capital of nearly $600 million, and has used that on projects in the power industry, and the water desalinization industry, and have managed to nearly double those initial funds, becoming worth $1 billion. Shareholders of the group include several leading companies in the area. BTU has a highly balanced and qualified staff to ensure their shareholders the highest possible value.
BTU Ventures is the private equity investment arm of BTU Group. Their investments specialize in every stage of the development cycle from conception to completion. They nearly exclusively invest in the down and midstream portions of the energy value chain. They operate largely in the developing markets, though the section operates in established markets as well. This highly diversified company engages in the development of projects, management of assets, and equity investments in many markets around the world.
